Australian Sports Foundation

The Club has started fundraising in partnership with Australian Sports Foundation with the aim to raise money for our Junior Sailors. By fundraising through the Sports Foundation, any donation made is tax-deductible.
We are hoping to raise enough money which will enable us to help our junior sailors and their development as well as investing in junior infrastructure. With contributions from our Members and supporters we are able to thrive, grow and be as successful as we can be! The future can be bigger and brighter for us with your help. Every donation counts, no matter how small!
Once you have donated and the transaction is complete, you will receive your tax-deductible receipt from the Australian Sports Foundation which you can include in your tax return.
You can donate at any time throughout the year by clicking here
Should you have any queries regarding this project or donating please contact Reception on (08) 9386 6437 or email reception@pfsyc.asn.au

Australian Fairy Terns at Point Walter

Recreational river users and fishers are being asked to please avoid the end of the Point Walter Spit during the summer periods as an estimated 70 breeding pairs of Fairy Terns are expected to make use of the shoreline.
It is estimated that there is less than 3000 breeding pairs of Fairy Terns in Western Australia.
Fairy Terns nest on shorelines and therefore their breeding success and survival is highly vulnerable to introduced predators, habitat loss, weather events and disturbance. The City of Melville has erected signage discouraging access to the end of the Point Walter sand spit while Fairy Tern breeding pairs are nesting.

Volunteer for Perth Dolphins

Did you know there are 20-25 dolphins living in the Swan and Canning Rivers?

On Wednesday October 24, 2018 there is an information evening to learn about the dolphins. There are short videos, prizes to be won and you will be shown how you can help keep the rivers healthy for them.
This event is also an opportunity for anyone (16 yrs and over) to become a Dolphin Watch Volunteer.
Date: Wednesday October 24, 2018
Time: 6 - 8.30pm (refreshments will be served from 6 - 6.30pm, the presentations begin at 6.30pm)
