Notice from Commodore Norm Roberts

Over the past few months there have been a number of complaints regarding unacceptable behaviour in the Members Lounge. This is a timely reminder to all Members that this is a Club, not a pub. This means that everyone in the Club are Members or guests of Members, not strangers. We are all here for the same reasons and that is to enjoy our Yacht Club with like-minded fellow Members.

Abusive, threatening, harassing behaviour will not be tolerated, and will be dealt with swiftly by the General Committee.

I would like to direct you to your Members Portal; here you will find all the Club's Policy's and By-Laws, including the Members Code of Conduct. Please make yourself familiar with it and abide by the Club rules so every Member has the same opportunity to enjoy the benefits of their Membership without being hassled by anyone.

F-10 Fuel Treatment

We are currently considering offering the following product to our Members for purchase.
F-10 is designated to clean and maintain the entire fuel system from storage tanks through to combustion.
It is a great insurance against fuel related problems, for not only boats, but cars, trucks, motorcycles and jet-skis. 1 litre of F-10 treats 4000 litres of fuel, and removes water from fuel tanks. The list of the uses for this product is endless, it removes water from fuel tanks; dissolves wax, gums, and varnishes present in fuel; cleans injectors; maximises fuel efficiency; keeps fuel filters cleaner for longer; stablises fuel and revitalises stale fuel.
The use of F-10 in your fuel will deliver better quality fuel to your engine and save you money by reducing downtime and maximising fuel economy.
We are asking Members to please email if they feel they may make use of this product and would like the Club to stock for purchase.

We kindly ask all Members that once you have received this form to please take the time to complete it and return it to Reception.

Notice from DoT: Vessel Registration Stickers & Numbers

The number of recreational vessels sharing WA waterways has increased and skippers are being reminded to display their vessel registration numbers and stickers correctly.
To assist, the DoT has produced a new Vessel Registration brochure, providing information about the type of vessels that need to be registered and details on the type, size, colour and placement of registration numbers and stickers.
A concerning number of recreational vessels on the water don't comply with correct requirement of the positioning of the registration numbers and stickers so that they can be clearly viewed. It can be difficult for authorities to identify a vessel, which in an emergency could impact a timely response and inhibit a successful outcome.
It is the responsibility of the skipper to check that the vessel's registration is current before going boating. Current registration of a vessel provides authorities with up-to-date information about the vessel.
More information regarding vessel registration and to view the new brochure, please click here

Members Tips - Mooring/Anchor Shackles

For the safety of your boat and the one in the adjacent pen, all shackles must be moussed. That is, there is to be flexible wire threaded through the eye of the shackle and around the shoulder and twisted several times.
