Redevelopment Update

As you know the Club lodged a Redevelopment Application to construct and install a Wave Attenuator, redevelop the ageing Slipway, and landscape the foreshore.

The Club has now received Development Approval from the City of Nedlands, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservations and Attractions, the Swan River Trust, and the Department of Transport. Our Application is currently with the Director General who is writing the recommendation for approval by the Minister. We envisage that we will receive the official approval from the Minister early in the New Year.

Our Project Manager, Joe Dassira has been in negotiations with the potential Contractors to secure the contract at the right price. So everything is on track for the Club to begin construction early in the New Year.

There will be many changes and improvements to the Club over the coming year for the benefit of our Members; 2019 is going to be a very exciting year for the Club.

Our Start Sailing School Holiday Programme was a tremendous success. It was fantastic to see so many young sailors coming down to the Club so eager and ready to learn. We were blessed with amazing weather and near perfect wind conditions for all the children to learn in. Congratulations to all our young sailors who took part and participated.
