Note from Rear Commodore Power, John Wood - Power Boat Members Help Required

On Friday the 22nd of February, the Sailors will be conducting the Parmelia Night Race event. This is a very important event in their annual calendar and they need 7 Power Boats to volunteer to man stages on the course.

I hope we can help them out as each year without fail they always support our Cork Evans Time Trial event.

All that would be required is for you to attend a briefing at the Club at around 6.30pm on the night. Anchor up at your allocated spot on the river ready for the race to start at 7pm. Have a torch to enable you to read and record the name and sail number of the passing Yachts and return to the PFSYC once the last boat has sailed past you. Not really a bad way to spend an evening on the beautiful river, possibly sipping on a cold beer and eating snacks!

More information will be sent out to anyone prepared to help on the night.

I hope to get a healthy response from many of our Power Members. Any questions, please feel free to call me on the number below.

Thank you.

John Wood

Event Bookings

A friendly reminder to all Members that bookings are essential for all events in order to co-ordinate the food and beverage team to provide the best possible service to our valued Members and their guests. Together with our hospitality department we are continually creating functions for our Members to take part in and enjoy. If you are unsure of what events are happening at the Club, feel free to call Reception on (08) 9386 6437 or email and we will happily inform you of the latest information. Alternatively we have marketing material related to our functions and events located;

It is encouraged and it would be terrific to see more Members participating in our events and ensuring that they make the suggesting bookings as per the RSVP dates. Keep in mind this is an exceptional way for you to use your House Support and to avoid the dissapointment of forfeiting paid funds at the end of each contribution period. The more Members we have coming to events, the less likely a function will need to be unfortunately cancelled due to lack of confirmed bookings.

Australian Sports Foundation - Junior Sailing Development

The Club has developed a fundraising program in partnership with Australian Sports Foundation with the aim to raise money for our Junior Sailors. By fundraising through the Sports Foundation, any donation made is tax-deductible.
We are hoping to raise enough money which will enable us to help our junior sailors and their development as well as investing in junior infrastructure. With contributions from our Members and supporters we are able to thrive, grow and be as successful as we can be!
Once you have donated and the transaction is complete, you will receive your tax-deductible receipt from the Australian Sports Foundation which you can include in your tax return.
You can donate at any time throughout the year by clicking here.
Should you have any queries regarding this project or donating please contact Reception on (08) 9386 6437 or email
