CHRIS CORBETT

Rear Commodore Power

 

Chris lives in Nedlands with his wife and three daughters. He and his family are regulars at the Club, enjoying the friendly, family atmosphere and spending time there with friends and family. Over the years the family has had a few different boats, and are presently custodians of a Bertram 42. They've embraced the boating life and try to get out on the water as much as they can, whether it's a quick cruise up the river or a weekend away at Rottnest.

Professionally, Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UWA and has built a career across business consulting, professional services, and technology. He founded and runs an IT consulting business providing systems, automation, and digital solutions to SME businesses, with a focus on software development, dashboards, and reporting. He has also served as a board director and trustee for a local industry superannuation fund, including on its Investment Committee and as chair of its Marketing and Communications Committee. He is also involved with Harvest Road, an agribusiness group whose interests include Harvey Beef and the pastoral stations owned by the Forrest family, helping the business with a digital transformation, including new systems and looking at practical uses of AI.

The extended Corbett family has also long been involved in the equestrian sport of polocrosse. Chris played at state level, alongside plenty of time in administration across club, zone, and state level.

 

Chris has been a Member of the Club for 6 years and holds the position of Rear Commodore Power.
