Winter Talk Series - Marine Safety

Our Winter Talk Series are back!

These evenings are a great way to come down to the Club with your family and friends, get to meet other Members of the Club and learn some interesting information.

On the 10th of July we will be covering the basics of what you will need to know about Marine Safety. PFSYC has the pleasure in securing a speaker from the DOT who will be covering the following; - Flare Training - Safety equipment changes for registrable vessels

We are also offering Members the opportunity to set off your flares. If your flares are within 6 months of expiry bring them down as you will be given the chance to set them off under the correct supervision. Don't worry if your flares have expired, our demonstrator will be bringing some along for you to try and will also happily take your expired flares and EPIRB's so they can be disposed of correctly.

We will also be covering Fire Training presented by Member John Haddon, including how it happens and how to stop it. In addition we will cover usage and maintenance of fire extinguishers.

This evening is jam packed with information and does not get any better.
