Whether a supremely ambitious Olympic hopeful or a relative sailing novice still wet behind the ears, boat owner or not, Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club can offer you competitive sailing at a level to suit.

The experience of our sailors may differ greatly and their craft may come in all shapes and sizes, but there is one constant that is guaranteed - the thrill and the exhilaration that comes with racing out on the water.

​Our sailing calendar includes regular Club racing with fixed and laid mark courses and special events. On a weekly basis, our keelboats race in a mixed fleet, divisions 1 2, 3 & 4. The Squadron's keelboat racing is competitive and well managed by experienced sailors. 

In Summer, PFSYC boat owners and their guests can participate in Twilight cruising on Wednesday nights. This is an immensely popular way to enjoy some social sailing followed by a BBQ dinner on the lawn overlooking the river.

Opening Day is one of the Club's highlights of the year! Official guests and dignitaries gather in the Clubhouse for the Opening Ceremony, which is followed by the traditional Sail Past and Blessing of the Fleet. After the formalities, it's on to racing and from then on it's full-on sailing for the rest of the year.
